Hi All,
Things got a bit busy this past fall with preparations for Cleo's international debut. This winter has been filled with getting my sweet dog adjusted to living in Norway - but things are finally calming down to a normal routine. Time for an UPDATE!
Frist, some shots from my trip home to Colorado last fall. What a lovely time of year, my favorite! And - bonus - my best buddy Kelsey was able to make the trip up from Houston. We tried to hike Grey Wolf Peak, but the trailhead was closed due to road construction...so we just hiked around the area.
Next, I went on a fantastic hike with some new friends I met here in Norway. The hike is called Skomakernibba, or Shoemaker's Point. The story goes like this:
A shoemaker had been convicted in a case. Punishment was that he had to sit out on this precarious rock tip and make a pair of shoes, and if he did not complete them, he could never return to the town. He had his tools in a bag with him so he could sit and sew shoes. He was well under way, and was done with the one shoe. He was about to complete the stitching on the final shoe, when his bag of tools fell over the edge and into the fjord. Since he could not finish the shoes without his tools and was never going to be allowed back to the town, he saw no other option than to leap over the edge into the fjord below.
Luckly we were just out there for fun, not punishment....
On to Christmas time - my Cleo is finally in Norway with me! Here are some funny shots of her!
And most recently, my sweetie - Matt came for a visit and we took a vacation into the Norwegian mountains for some s'mores and cross-country skiing. We are near the town of Sinnes, about 1.5 hours from Stavanger.
Enjoy....coming up Easter trip with Matt to Cinque Terre, Italy!
Cheers, Jen
